Hey, hi guys doing. My name is Dale Frey, and I'm running for the position of the Denton County Clerk. I'm gonna have to explain what that is now, of course. It's not just the clerk of the county, but also the Denton County Commissioner's Court, and here's why that matters so much.
There are two major points of contention. One is the fact that Denton County has made headlines in the news over the fact that we've opted into the 287G contract, which deputizes local law enforcement as ICE officials. The Denton County Commissioners Court oversees our elections, and in Denton County we do not have county white voting on election day, even though we do during the early voting
period, which is confusing the people. We are constantly seeing people getting redirected on the last day to vote. This is straight up voter suppression, and that's why the Denton County Commissioner's Court matters so much. Speaking of voter suppression, another issue that we have is that right now our Congress is trying to push forward something called the SAVE Act.
The Save Act is something that will make it so that your driver's license is not good enough to get you to be registered to vote. You might actually need to get a passport in order to register to vote. Now, as your county clerk who oversees our passport offices here in Denton County, it will be my personal mission to make sure that you have access to getting a
passport and to beg your fellow county commissioners to socialize the cost for obtaining a passport. Because I believe because unlike the orange man in charge in Washington, I believe in our constitution. Our constitution says that we're supposed to have free and fair elections. It should not cost you money in order to vote
for our elections. My name is Dale Frey. I'm running to be your Denton County Clerk. If you want to learn more about me, come to Frey for Texas.com. That's F R E Y for Texas.com, and thank you for your time.
